Well that famous drive happened again today.... all the way down to westmead. Trekked around the entire hos, its such a maze! Picked up my X-ray bag, took it down to the consulting rooms. Saw my Chemo Dr, Dr Hui, she told me my scans looked great, there was a small bit of contrast that brightened in the cavity where the tumour was, (pulled out the scan, wow, you should see the hole!) but its probably a result from the surgery. I was damn happy with that. Also that there was a small amount of swelling in the brain, but unless I get any headaches, then we wont go back on the dexamethesone. All is good. However... I'm pretty releived actually that I'm doing chemo, I would hate to get 6mnth down the track and have them say, "we prob should have", so lets knock it on the head and be done with it! So deal is, 300mg tablets each night of "Temodal", b4 I go to bed, for 5 nights. It works on a 28 day cycle much like taking the pill! So begining in like 15 mins... Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon; stop for the next 4 weeks, and start again. (Had to fall on a friggin weekend) Then do that for 5 more cycles, hence the six months. Just thought I'd keep ya postaed with the sitch!
(Had a fairly big seizure (for me) last thurs here at home, Trav's ma was here, sitting right here at the comp, my speech just went and my neck twitched a few times, lasted all of 30 secs, but i got sooo worked up that i couldnt get out of it, very scary! All's I kept thinking was oh no I was doing sooo well!! First seizure in like 8-9 weeks! SAD)
Love always... KAS

Re: Chemo begins 2day!! and for the next 6mnths
Hi Kas, You are a very brave girl and I haven'yt been very attentive here thought about you all and the family. Still a Moderator on the brain site - try to bring a smile and some positive thinking to the crew. Wonder how the family are and yourself of course.
We have a lot of rain and I am sure our little Maltese - Chloe has forgotten what rain is - she is reluctant to go out on the lawn, her usual loo and decides just underneath the eaves o0n a concret ain't as cold. She is so perfect and no way will it occur inside,
Take care dear lady -- lots of love, care and thought to you and yours and I will back soon to hear how you are furthur adapting your positive outlook -- Love and a hug of warmth -- Ken xx
