Hey Yall!
Well apologies its been so friggin long since I’ve left a blog, still going on the radiation treatment, its getting tougher; but 5 more to go!! This is now the second phase of my treatment (apparently). The last 5 are more precise and more accurate blasts, so to speak. So wish me luck!! Just kidding. Not doing toooooo bad so far, am feeling a little nauseous every now and then, TIRED, especially if I have an early treatment (1pm – by 4pm I’m screwed. If I have a later treatment, 4pm – by 7pm, I hit a wall… but its fine cause Asha’s always in bed, and kids are calm, ready for bed) But anyways, only 5 more to go!! I’ve got some pics somewhere here of my hair loss to date. The girls in the treatment rooms said I would only lose the left side, but then the right side started falling out! NOT happy Jan, not that it REALLY matters. If I’m gonna lose one side, I may as well lose the other to match! But she was saying the laser beams must go right thru! WHAT!? Geeez that’s comforting!! I get 2 beams shoot thru near my left ear and then another 2 kinda on top. Its not hurting anymore, not red, bit flaky at times, but I try not to put anything on it, feels weird! Hahaha
I also got a wig yesterday to borrow from the free wig library at the Gosford Hospital called the “Wigwam”, I managed to score a brand new one, and have to have a fringe, and wear it out, BUT, only cause I’m a bridesmaid for my soon to be sister-in-law, just one of the many MANDA’s!! So I will do anything for her :) But because I still have my own hair at the back, I leave that out, then put the wig on, it looks like another layer, I’m quite impressed! Gels really well.
