Hey EVERYONE!!
Well well, Trav and I went on that lovely scenic drive down the free way, then through the back end of Sydney to go to Westmead!! YEAH, not! We had a 2:30pm appointment to go visit the onocology dudes, which turned into 3:30pm. The Dr I was meant to see was on leave "oh how FREAKIN convenient!!" Anyways, nobody had my referal letter, so basically we had to start from scratch, then they looked at my scans (prior to surgery), and looked at my pathology results. (Wanna try to take a photo of the scans) Now cancer apparently comes in 4 stages. my large tumour was a 3, the small tumour was a 2. So basically she said, if they were both a 2, we'd leave it and see how we go after a few months, and do a few scans, see if the cells in there have grown into tumours, that kind of thing. But considering its a 3, we would like to act now. Fair enough. So we r looking at 30 days straight, I presume that means the weekends off. Everyday, for only a few minutes (20 min appoint - however 15 mins of that is positoning me on the table to get me in place) I get to have made a mask thing that protects my face from the radiation, sounds like something out of a horror movie! hahaha I was also told my hair will fall out, SAD, but it will grow back, but it may not grow back in the parts where I get radiation the most. THAT really made me sad. Thats what will then set me apart from everyone else. I asked if it was painful, she said no. She did say I will feel terrible, tired, nausious, all those fun things. So I said, basically I will be pregnant minus the hair falling and the baby at the end! hehehe So I can get treatment up here in gosford which is fantastic, but its a private clinic and will cost a few thousand $$$, but its all good, because thats exactly what that $$$ sitting in my account is for, all your lovely people out there donated!!. So i see them this Fri in Gosford, and hope to start treatment by the end of the month. See the Chemo Dr back at Westmead on the 20th, hope she will put me on Chemo pills! so I can be at home and not have to travel down to syd to get it intreveniously, will happen at the same time radiation does. Ok, think I'm done!! Love to everyone who still reads my updates! Cheers guys

Just tuned in, great to hear the progress, good luck with the treatment, your a trooooooper, and I know it will be all good. GO slow and take little steps, love to all Roger, Cheryl & the boys.

Thanks for the updates Kasey - there is so much happening in your life and it is great to know all the details that the doctors are telling you -- you are coping so well with everything.
