Ok, went down on Friday to me local, (4 me now - thats a medical centre hahah) and got my 22 + 2 on the side of my head, out. Wasn't painful at all actually until he pulled my hair in it, ouch! But its really healthy, hair's growing back, so its all spiky!

It feels funny to touch, its quite num behind the scar, so i asked the neuro dude y it was num and he said it will take a while, like a few months for the sensation to come back as they had to cut thru the nerves when they operated. EwwwW!  Still freaks me out a little. Anyways... when i was at the Dr's, i had to get my Dilantin levels checked. (Anti-seisure medication. Levels need to be between 40 and 80) The last two weeks its been at 57 + 56 which is good and in hospital it was checked and was good at 56, so got levels done last Friday, was @ 34, which means the lower it drops the more @ risk I am for having another seisure. SCARY!!

So the GP had to ring my neurosurgeon and ask him what to do. He rang me back saying we need to change you over to another anti seisure medication! Gggrrrr. But can't just change and stop the other one, oh no. So we need to take BOTH until i build up to a good level of the new one, then ween down off the Dilantin.

Night time came, and we thought ahhh, we'll just start the new one in the morn. Had a shower and looked down at my belly, covered in a rash! oh GREAT. The neurosurgical registrar said to me when we got discharged after xmas, any signs of a rash, call us immediately. So called them in the morn (ooopppsss) The guy was a bit shirty, "look am about to go into surgery, is this important?" Trav said look they told us to call is there was a rash from taking the Dilantin. He was listening now! "Stop taking the Dilantin immediately, her life is at risk" Oh oh, comforting! haha So then I had to go back to the GP (Sunday night) have him look at the rash, he said yup, typical Dilantin rash. He said look, I'm not going to bullshit u, u are at major risk of having a seisure until the new anti seisure meds get up to a safe level. GREAT! So not only do I have a rash, I have a major head spin goin on from new meds and mentally dealing wth the "C" thang!

Anyways!! Love to you ALL

Love forever :)

Hi Kasos,
Glad to hear you are doing really well. I wish I could come and visit you but alas stuck in Forbes. I am so happy that you are OK. Send me a pick of your scar and shaved head please please please. Sorry I can not be there more in your time of need. Feeling really guilty, but know you are being looked after by so many others.

Love ya Katos
